Nepal, 2016, Doing God’s Work

May 27, 2016

It will be off to Nepal this Fall on another project for His kingdom! The project is described as follows.

We have a great opportunity to assist in the construction of a church building for a congregation of 100 in the village of Dhangadi, Nepal. This is a vibrant and growing Church of the Nazarene that was started in 2012 and is currently meeting under a tarp covered lean-to next to the pastor’s home. Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world and was recently hit by a devastating 7.9 earthquake that killed over 8000 and left tens of thousands homeless. Nepal is 80% Hindu and 10% Buddhist but Christianity is growing rapidly in the country. There are however several unreached people groups and thousands of unreached villages and communities in Nepal that are yet to hear the Gospel. The district superintendent, has a well thought out church growth strategy to reach the country but has access to very few resources. We can help!

This is an opportunity for us to make a significant impact in the work of the church in Nepal. This congregation of 100 needs this new facility to continue its growth, outreach and ministry in the area. The church also operates a Child Development Center with 75 children out of the same lean-to. While we are there we’ll also participate in a Jesus Film showing and possibly a compassion project for the community.

I am continually blessed with opportunities to travel the world in hope of making a difference in His Kingdom. Please pray for our team and our mission to be successful in bringing the Lords love to all we meet in Nepal.
