Chile, 2015, Part Four

August 6, 2015

After breakfast and a time of devotions, we are back to work at the “Look of Love” school for mentally challenged young people here in Valparaiso, Chile. One of the objectives of the trip was to help the school by bringing supplies, books, games and other things that they could use in teaching the students. All of the supplies were brought to the school and the women from the team sat down with the pastor’s wife, Lorena, who had first had the vision for the school, and is the primary teacher.  The gifts were shared  with her and her exclamations of joy and appreciation were such a blessing!

At the same time the work on the existing classroom continues as some of the local people help by repainting the walls.

The team from the Chicago Heights Church of the Nazarene continues to work on the new addition by putting foam insulation in the walls. Other team members work on building and installing the rest of the outer walls.

Another day was concluded with a deep sense of satisfaction that we are doing the Lord’s work and bringing a blessing to the students as well as their caregivers.   Tomorrow is Sunday and we are all looking forward to attending church services, thanking the Lord for all of our blessings and enjoying a day of rest.
