Denmark 2013, Day Four

August 27, 2013

It’s Monday morning here in Denmark. We are getting used to the routine of breakfast at the church and then having devotions with a short bible lesson before we depart to the coffee-house to work. The coffee-house is closed today so we can work without worrying about disturbing the customers. With limited space to work inside the coffee-house we take over the sidewalk along side of the building.

Some of the people helped clean the coffee-house getting ready for business the next day. It was also an opportunity to give the serving counter an extra coat of finish.

With the coffee-house closed for business on Mondays and not enough work to keep everyone busy, some of the people were asked if they would like to go to a tea house for afternoon tea, so most of the gals left us men working while they went out for tea. They were hosted by David and Julia from the coffee-house.

And some snacks as well

While all of this was going on the final steps of cleaning up the walls in the new meeting room were being taken. Striping off all of the old wallpaper, removing some old walls and shelves so new wall treatments could be added.

Well as we work away life in Copenhagen goes on as normal. We are amazed at the number of people who commute on bicycles.

Almost every street is filled with bicycles

We have supper and it’s back to our home away from home for another good nights sleep.
